Personal Appearance
At Jackson Christian, our dress code is intended to support our mission of developing students who honor Christ in every area of life. Just as different settings call for different expectations, we teach students that appropriate attire demonstrates respect for God, themselves, others, and the learning environment.It also prepares students to recognize and meet expectations they will encounter in future educational, professional, and community settings.
Maintaining the dress code is a shared responsibility between the school, parents, and students. Families are expected to become familiar with these guidelines and consider them when purchasing school attire.
Parents are responsible for ensuring that students are appropriately dressed for school-sponsored activities that occur outside the regular school day.
Students are expected to respond respectfully to the guidance of faculty and administrators regarding dress code expectations. When a dress code concern arises, students may be required to change into appropriate attire, which may include contacting a parent or guardian. Repeated violations may result in progressive disciplinary consequences.
