All Students:

  • MATH-A-THON - All donations should be turned in by December 11, 2009. If your child is in JK-5, turn the monies into his/her classroom teacher and if in grades 6-12, turn the monies into his/her math teacher. If the student is not enrolled in a math class, they may turn their money into Mrs. Gateley. Please make all checks payable to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Please be sure to put your child's name, grade, teacher, amount of donation, and shirt side (if as much as $35 is donated) on the outside of the collection envelope.  READ MORE
  • PARKER UNIFORM - The Parker Uniform store is pleased to offer the families attending JCS our Finally Fall Discount on knit shirts and jackets. Through November 21st, you can buy a knit shirt at regular price and get the second knit shirt (of equal or lesser value) at 50% off.   • JCS HOLIDAY MINGLER - The fourth annual JCS Holiday Mingler is set for Thursday, December 10 from 1:00 until 7:00 p.m.  READ MORE

Elementary:

  • NWEA TESTING - NWEA Testing will begin on Monday, November 30, and continue through the first two weeks of December.
  • JUNIOR SPELLING BEE - The Junior Spelling Bee will be held Wednesday, December 16 at 8:30 in the Early Learning Village.
  • ELEMENTARY SPELLING BEE - The Elementary Spelling Bee will be held Tuesday, January 12 at 8:30 in the elementary cafetorium.

Secondary:

  • COLLEGIATE BASEBALL SIGNING - Congratulations to Martin Key who recently signed to play baseball with Delta State University.  READ MORE
  • EAGLES FOR CHRIST - There will be an Eagles for Christ meeting for grades 9-12 during lunch on Thursday, December 3, in the New Gym.
  • STUDENTS VS FACULTY BASKETBALL GAME - Tip-off for this second annual event will be at 7:00 p.m. in the New Gym on Friday December 4. This is a fundraising event for the JCS Eagles Baseball Program. In addition to the game itself, Spaghetti Dinner plates will be sold for $6 each. The dinners will be pre-sold and will be served in the Cafeteria starting at 6:00 the night of the game. Last year's event was a huge success and so much fun (mostly because the teachers beat the kids!). We hope that you will come cheer on your favorite teachers/students, have some spaghetti and enjoy a fun night of family entertainment.
  • CLASS RINGS - The Balfour representative will be here December 10 at 8:00 to pass out Senior rings.
  • HIGH SCHOOL SEMESTER EXAMS - All students must take Fall Exams this year; seniors are not exempt. Students only have to be at school when they have an exam. No exams will be given in Bible and ACT Prep classes. Students must get a note from Mr. Gatlin in order to reschedule an exam. Students must remain in the classroom for the entire exam period. The following is the exam schedule for high school: Tuesday, December 15 - Periods 1 & 4; Wednesday, December 16 - Periods 2 & 5; Thursday, December 17 - Periods 6 & 7; Friday, December 18 - Makeup & Rescheduled Exams.
  • MIDDLE SCHOOL SEMESTER EXAMS - Following is the exam schedule for middle school students:
    Tuesday, December 15 - English; Wednesday, December 16 - Science; Thursday, December 17 - Math; Friday, December 18 - Social Studies.
