In middle school, a strong emphasis is placed on preparing the student for their high school years. At Jackson Christian School, our teachers are very sensitive to the academic,
physical, spiritual and social needs of the middle school student. With these needs in mind, middle school teachers work to provide activities to help make the transition between
elementary and high school easier.
The opening of the new 5th and 6th grade complex has been a wonderful asset for the students at JCS. This facility helps us provide our students with more opportunities to
develop their talent to the fullest potential. The building houses the 5th and 6th grade classrooms, separate band, chorus and theatre arts rooms for MS and HS, and business
offices. The new complex joins the existing MS building which provides a place where middle school students can thrive and, therefore, make being in the "middle" a great
place.
By the time they leave middle school, students will have had exposure to art, music, drama, creative writing, math enrichment, computer and physical education in addition to the
required curriculum. They will have also had the opportunity to participate in the band and chorus. Athletically, JCS middle school offers football, basketball, girls softball, and
soccer, cross country and cheerleading.
To help us meet the spiritual needs of our students, JCS school days include Bible classes and chapel where they take an active role in devotionals and skits. Students are also given
opportunities to grow by serving others.
Come see why being in the "middle" at Jackson Christian School is a great place!
