Thanks to Desiree's mom for
coming and doing an art project with us last Thursday and also
for providing an extra snack for the class this week. They
will definitely appreciate that tomorrow when we don't get to
eat lunch until 12:30. |

Question about a
grade recorded as
incomplete: If
you see an
incomplete that just
means that I don't
think your child
understood something
or maybe they forgot
to complete a
section and they
need to see me.
Don't worry about
those I will take
care of it.
I will be out on
Friday so that I may
attend the 5th grade
field trip with
Claire. Once
again, I will test
them on Thursday so
that there will not
be any test anxiety
due to having a sub.
If we are struggling
we will also have
next Monday and
Tuesday to finish
up. |
Thanksgiving Lunch: I have
the tickets for everyone
that is coming. I will
keep them at school and pass
them out on the day of the
luncheon.
The "Get to Know Your
President" project is due on
November 24th. The
children drew for their
President. Use the
Presidential Link below to
make this project easier for
you. Feel free to find
other sites to get
information as well. Have

ART:
We have art on Thursdays from 11:30 -
12:00. We do not have an art teacher right
now so we are doing art in our rooms. If
you would like to help and do an arts and
crafts session one Thursday let me know.
Even if you have any ideas for art let me
know. I would greatly appreciate it! :)

Oral Reading
Fluency Rubric
Each Friday,
your child will read a passage to me or a parent volunteer. The
goal of this is to see how many words per minute your child can
read. Click on the Link above to see how many words your child
should be reading to be at a Second Grade level at different
times of the year. Your child should be reading 51 words per
minute right now.

Make up your own problems and have them work 5 or 6 regrouping
problems each night. You do not have to turn these in. This is
a good practice to do for the rest of the year. Even though
they know it now, they do forget!
