Welcome to Mrs. Melody's Jr. Kindergarten Class!

We have had a wonderful week! Thankful to God that the cooler weather has arrived and the children have been able to play outside and enjoy our beautiful playground. They have enjoyed that very much! We did not have anyone signed up for Mystery Guest  today and we all missed having a visitor in our classroom! Be thinking about when you would like to come, and what you would like to do--I will be sending an email asking you to fill in our calendar for the rest of the semester to be a Mystery Guest.

August 30-September 3

Monday--Introduction to B, brown, and squares.

Tuesday--Things that are brown.

Wednesday--Corduroy the Bear.

Thursday--Goldilocks and the 3 Bears.

Friday--"My Bear" Day.

Curriculum plans

Bible: Birth of Isaac, Wife for Isaac, The Blessing, Jacob's Ladder.

Memory Verse: Blessed are those who keep my ways, Proverbs 8:32.

Math: Button math, counting bears.

Phonics: The sound of letter B and identify letter B b.

Reading: Benjamin Bunny, Goldilocks and the Three Bears, Corduroy.

Art: Beans on B, paint a football, Jacob's ladder.

Science: bugs

Handwriting Without Tears:  Tracing letter B, tracing squares, and making the letter B out of playdough.

Show and Tell: Favorite teddy bear.

Cooking: Bear cookie. We will have this activity at 11:30 on Thursday for anyone who would like to join us. Please let me know if you are coming so I can tell the office to expect a guest for my room. Thanks!
