Summer Reading Requirements
Jackson Christian High School
Summer 2009
"Properly, we should read for power. Man reading should be man intensely alive. The book should be a ball of light in one's hand." --Ezra Pound
Here is a list of books that are required for JCS High School students to read over the summer. Even though classes will discuss the books, students may expect to take a quiz over the book at the beginning of the school year, as teachers evaluate students' initial comprehension of the novel.
