MLA Format

Projects will automatically lose 60 points if they are not turned into www.turnitin.com

Pick one of the following ways to represent your topic. Each must include a description of the event or person, why its is important, and its effect on today. You must include 5 sources, only 2 may be from the internet.  You must use citation machine. A link is at the bottom of my page. You must use MLA format this year. Ms. Snell will be checking the grammatical format.

Paper
7 pages (this does not include the source page) it should be typed, double space, in BLACK ink, 12 point font- Times New Roman . IF you have difficulty using turn it in PLEASE print your paper and email me a copy of your paper.

Paper and a Poster
4 page paper on your subject (this does not include the source page),  typed, double- space, in BLACK ink, 12 point font- Times New Roman.

Power Point
27 slides- 1 MAY be the title and 1 MAY be the source page. Floppy Disks will not be accepted. Burn your project to a disk or e-mail it to me.

Speech
7 minutes- turn in your notes and sources or 5 minutes with a visual aid- turn in notes and sources.

DUE DATES
1st quarter- 9/29/08 Chapters 4-10 (Where to pick your topic)
2nd quarter- 11/17/08 Chapters 10-14 (DC folks will have a topic on the trip)
3rd quarter- 3/2/09 Chapters 14-20
4th quarter- 4/28/09 Chapters 20- end of the book
