THIRD GRADE A/R REQUIREMENTS

*Each student will be responsible for reading and testing on a

minimum of nine (9) books per nine weeks.

*The nine books should be on the following grade levels:

  1^st nine weeks –  1.5 or above
  2^nd nine weeks -  1.5 or above
  3^rd nine weeks -  2.0 or above
  4^th nine weeks -  2.0 or above

*Students will earn Reading test grades based on their A/R
  report at the end of the nine weeks.  A test grade will be
  given for fulfilling the nine-book requirement. In other
  words, if the student tests on their nine books according
  to the nine-week requirement, they will receive a 100 as a
  test grade. If fewer books are tested on, the grade will
  be the percentage of books tested on. 

  A test grade will also be determined by the average score
  on all tests taken. This will include the nine books along with
  any other tests the student has taken.  Please encourage
  your child to take their time in reading and testing on the
  books that they choose. It will affect their Reading grades!
