Admission Process

The education available at JCS will help prepare any child for the future.

Our aim is to provide a quality education to those students who wish to maximize their potential. To ensure fairness and equality, we have an admission process in place. Each grade has their own unique requirements, but the uniform process required by all to complete is below:

Required for Acceptance:

Completed Application Packet
Use our online application to provide all necessary information about your student. In addition, the Admissions Office will need copies of report cards, transcript, birth certificate, social security, and immunization record.

Entrance Assessment
Each student applying to JCS will have an assessment of  skills. This information will be used to help place them in classes. Students applying for first through twelfth grade will take the NWEA assessment. Students applying for the Early Learning Village will be required to participate in a one-on-one assessment with one of our ELV faculty.

Interview
Each family will be asked to interview with our Admissions Committee. At least one guardian and the student applying will need to attend. The whole family is invited to be part of the interview.

Student Evaluation
Each student applying for first through twelfth grade will be asked to participate in one shadow day before completing the Admission Process. Students applying for the ELV must participate in Kindergarten Round-Up Day or Junior Kindergarten Assessment Day.

Family Evaluation
Each family wishing to enroll will be asked to share why they want to be at Jackson Christian School. During this time the Business Office will gather information about the person financially responsible for tuition.

Acceptance
The Admissions Committee will make a decision about each student based on information gathered during the Admission Process.

New Family Orientation
Each family will be required to attend an orientation at the start of the school year.
