Our two-, three- and four-year-olds at Jackson Christian Preschool – Campbell Street are provided a solid educational, spiritual and behavioral foundation in these very important formative years.

The preschool students are guided by dedicated, experienced teachers whose genuine love for each child is unmistakable. These qualities, as well as extensive knowledge and experience in early childhood education, create a positive learning environment for each child.

Beginning with our two-year-olds, we believe that consistency with a building block approach is a priority in our educational continuum. Our two- and three-year-olds begin building fine motor and listening skills, learning how to rhyme words, falling in love with books, and developing letter recognition and number concepts. Our four-year-olds use Benchmark Phonics for our language and writing curriculum. We also use Everyday Math to provide a solid foundation for math curriculum. Our curriculum also includes science, social studies, history, music, art and technology, as well as fine and gross motor development.

We not only prepare the preschool students academically, but also give them a foundation for spiritual growth by providing daily Bible classes, chapel, prayer, character and values education and manners. We are presented with many opportunities throughout the day to teach Christian concepts, whether it is with conflict resolution on the playground or a prayer of petition or thanksgiving for the concerns of the child. Our students are also given opportunities to serve and become more aware of the needs of others with our community service projects throughout the year.

The preschool student also needs time to run and play. Our campus, located at 1490 Campbell Street, in the Campbell Street Church of Christ building, contains  a wonderful playground and an  indoor gymnasium where supervised play aids in the students’ physical growth and social growth.

Exciting field trips, an introduction to Spanish and sign language, and the daily pledge and patriotic songs add other dimensions to your preschooler’s development. Optional programs include Gymnastics and Compuchild.
